The official name of our team is "Card payment", but everyone calls us "Card players". Why? Because playing with cards is fundamental part of our daily work – credit cards, debit cards, customer cards, but also payment terminals and hardware. Of course, we don't neglect programming. In addition to JAVA, we also code here and there in good old C.
Our team is one of the smallest in Slovakia – it consists of three enthusiastic mountain bikers who are still resisting the call of electric motors through sheer willpower. The rest of our team is based in Germany. We are in daily contact with our colleagues thanks to other modern conveniences, which, unlike electric motors, we appreciate.

What we do
Our task is to connect various external devices to our SIQMA product, which manages the operation of petrol stations and charging stations. Thanks to our clever minds, payment terminals, printers, electronic chargers and many other things related to payments at petrol stations are becoming part of our system. We are currently also helping to transfer our system and services to the cloud. It's a big thing we're proud of.
How we do it
Our development has been agile for quite some time now. So we sprint, plan, programme and finish it all off with a retrospective. Every day, we meet with our German colleagues at a stand-up meeting to discuss what lies ahead, roll up our sleeves and get down to typing, clicking and testing. We place great emphasis on regular breaks to recharge our batteries and discuss plans for our next cycling trip to our beautiful mountains.

Like the entire division, our office is located on Priemyselná Street in Žilina.
In building B (the nice brick building perpendicular to Priemyselná Street), look for the office with a nice view on the top floor. That's where we spend most of our time, three days a week.
The rest of the time we work from home, but it's not as much fun as in the office.
