The official name of our team is BOS/HOS II. We came up with a name that better describes us.
We are the "Raptors" because we are fierce and a little different. Although each of us is a different kind of raptor, we are united by what is essential – the desire to do things well, humanely, and with a dose of healthy humour.
We are not perfect, but we are unique. And it is precisely in our diversity that our strength lies – one thinks analytically, another spouts creative solutions on demand, another thrives in chaos... When we put it all together, everything falls into place.
Our favourite rituals include morning coffee and internal memes, which may not seem funny to you until you get to know our inside jokes.
Translation: let's talk openly, without baggage, and with a desire to find a solution. We use this phrase whenever someone comes up with a complicated problem, a strange assignment, or just needs to "vent."

Our work is a mix of planning, communication, operations, creativity, and the ability to know what to do, even when a task comes from the "completely out of the box" category. We do what it takes to make things work – while being careful not to slip into a routine.
We work on a variety of tasks – some are large and visible, others small and inconspicuous, but all are important. Currently, we are most focused on the large SIQMA Nova project, but we can also meet customer requirements (Q8, Shell, and T&R) for new "features" or debugging.
We enjoy it when things move forward, even if it's not always smooth sailing. Humour, well-aimed sarcasm, and coffee help us in our work.
Our work can be compared to building with Legos without instructions. We don't know if we have all the pieces. Sometimes we have to make one, and sometimes we end up building something completely different. But in the end, it all holds together and looks good too.
We work in an agile team, so concepts such as planning, review, and retrospective are not foreign to us. Retrospectives and planning can be quite rewarding, because when you know ”What’s it all about?” things go much easier.
We use velocity, burndown charts, and forecast accuracy. When things occasionally go wrong, we can quickly adapt and pretend that's how it was supposed to be.
We are not robots, but we understand technology. Most of the time.
Our main base is located at Scheidt & Bachmann headquarters in Žilina on Priemyselná Street. In Building B (the nice brick building perpendicular to Priemyselná Street) on the top floor, you will find our pleasant working environment and plenty of coffee. We also meet there for reviews, planning, and retrospectives, but we also enjoy spending time together over lunch.
We realize that not every day is the same – and sometimes it's better to work from the comfort of your own home. That's why we support a flexible work regime with the option of working from home as needed and by agreement. The key is to feel good, whether we're in the office or at home, so that work is meaningful and stress doesn't get the upper hand.
