History of the Fuel retail solutions division
Scheidt & Bachmann is founded in 1872 in Mönchengladbach, Germany.
Scheidt & Bachmann begins with the production of Fuel retail solutions having become the second business division of our company. Initially, only fuel dispensers are produced that were operated manually without any electronics.
With the advent of transistors and microprocessors, development of software begins, creating the first TMS 10 - Tankstellen Management System (Petrol station management system), which in addition to controlling the dispenser also runs the sales point. This system later extends to include management functionalities with the launch of TMS 20. At the end of the 1990s the entire system is running on the Windows platform and is coded using C, C ++ and Visual Basic.
The Fuel retail solutions department is established in Žilina. It consists of three developers (two of them are still with us today). Development consists of the implementation of the new TMS 30 system - this time based on JavaSE. The department grows as do customer requirements. Today we are working on the latest SIQMA system solution – cloud-based, JavaEE, and we use mobile technology.
