We were a partner of the Hack Košice event
Hack Kosice 2023 is the largest international student hackathon in Central Europe. It took place during the weekend of 1st and 2nd of April 2023 in the Kunsthalle in Kosice. 200 young hackers from 27 countries (6 continents) participated there. During 24 hours they had to conquer the sponsors' challenges, they could take part in inspiring workshops, experience a lot of fun and, most importantly, win interesting prizes.
Our company prepared a "challenge" for the participants, the aim of which was to create a mobile app for passengers with different transport options – from walking to bike sharing to public transport and with different functionalities or filters. The challenge was chosen by 3 teams, who could contact our colleagues at any time for guidance and support.
On Sunday at noon, the student teams presented the results of their work in front of our expert jury, who chose the winning team. This was "Ipsum Lorem", which consisted of young Ukrainian developers and their app called "Forward!".
The team fulfilled almost all the specified criteria, prepared a complex and innovative solution, designed a monetization model, and presented their multi-platform app brilliantly.
Their performance was also appreciated by the hackathon organizers. Thanks to this the team was ranked 2nd place among all participants. As a gift from our company, Ing. Marína Schiffer, Managing Director of Scheidt & Bachmann Slovensko, presented them with action cameras.
