We ran the Cooper test. It will test your abilities, too

The Running league of Žilina is our beloved event which we attend regularly. In Slovakia, it is one of the oldest running competitions.

"You do not need to have a lot at the beginning. It is enough that we are the owners of the goal," sings Pavol Hammel. His song pops up in our heads every time we put running shoes on and cross the finish line. The Running league of Žilina is our beloved event which we attend regularly. In Slovakia, it is one of the oldest running competitions.

The 7th round of the Running league of Žilina took place on the 5th of July and Scheidt & Bachmann was there again. In traditional races, they run pre-set kilometres, but this time we tried the Cooper test, also called the 12-minute run.

In this discipline, it is important that you run at a relatively steady pace without sprinting or stopping. You can compare the distance you have run to the scoreboard - by age and gender. This will tell you what your running shape is compared to your peers.

A lucky number seven was shining at the finish

51 runners came to prove their strength and see how far they can run. Our flag was carried by Roman Murárik. In previous races, more of us attended the run but this time we missed it because of our duties. We will use the saved energy in the next race.
First long-distance runners took run on the track at the university camp at 5 pm. Our strategy for a good result was to evenly set our stamina and run to the fullest in the last minute. To discover our limits - that was our goal. After every run, there was a lottery which was just a nice bonus. Roman finished in the honourable 7thplace.

Overcome your limits next year too

If running is your cup of tea and you like to overcome your limits, expand our running team. All you have to do is to have a spirit of sport and dare to run long-distance tracks. So, put your running shoes on and let’s run together to the finish.
