Table tennis is a dynamic and action game, one of the fastest sports in the world. Even though Asian players dominate the professional level, there are nearly two dozen passionate amateurs in our company who are keen on striking the white ball because it brings them joy and good mood.
Table tennis festival in Žilina
Altogether eighteen staff members entered the first year of our table tennis tournament. As we are an open company, our colleagues from almost all departments, including representatives of Bratislava branch office, appeared on the players list. The tournament took place on November 11 in the Table tennis Hall in Žilina.
Who mastered the ball?
Although faces of all players reflected maximum engagement and desire for victory, the whole tournament was driven by a friendly and homely atmosphere. We saw dozens of interesting rallies, and the finals were indeed at the professional level.
Thanks to their active play and skills, Roman Veselovský won the first place, Matej Šelig finished second and Jaroslav Horčík ranked third. The special prize "The Trophy of the Defeated" was taken by Michal Tužinský in the second round of the eliminated tournament players.
"I am happy that the first table tennis tournament excited the whole company. The fights over the green table were really energetic, frankly, where else can you beat the boss? The fact is that we all had a lot of fun and relaxed in a perfect way," said organizer Tomáš Trúchly.
The first year of competition over the white net was cool and all participants were satisfied with the ambient. We are already planning a number of improvements for the next year. We hope that the magic of table tennis will also attract the female element of our company and they will form the women´s category in the tournament.
