Most charming female table footballers in Žilina working for Scheidt & Bachmann

Table football, foosball or table soccer – 1 ball, 8 rotating bars, 22 plastic figures and hundreds of hours of fun. Confirmed by the participants of the first foosball tournament of companies in Žilina – IT FOOS Open Žilina 2017 in late November. Competition took place within the IT Kraj project. Whenever there is a chance to meet people working in our field at a cool event, we are pleased to take advantage of such meetings.

Our company actively participates at various sports and cultural events in the region of Žilina every year. Therefore, the offer of partnership at the first year of foosball tournament IT FOOS Open Žilina 2017 was welcome. The event took place in Bank Žilina on 15 November 2017. Interest in championship was tremendous. Eventually 40 two-player teams from more than ten companies of Žilina filled the list of competitors. The matches were divided into professional and amateur levels.

Yes, football is a game for everyone

Our employees are familiar with table soccer, which is the reason why up to 3 teams represented our company – two male and even one female. Those of you who have already tried the game of table soccer know that players need swift reactions and agile wrists. What is important is a good cooperation and team play between a striker and a goalkeeper. The competitors could use the training programme before the tournament itself to improve their style and find the right strategy against the rivals from other companies.

How did we succeed?

The fact that our players did not come to participate only was a brilliant placement of Martin Novák and Ľuboš Pecháč at 5th – 8th place out of 40 teams. In qualification, they triumphed over the teams who won the first and the third place. However, they were defeated by the runner-up team.

Our employees Zuzka Matejová and Janka Hikaníková were justly awarded special prize titled “The most charming team”.

We would also like to congratulate to Vladimír Kobolka and Tomáš Trúchly, who successfully represented the company and showed literally heroic performances around the football table.

All for one team

The whole event maintained chill out and friendly atmosphere. At Scheidt & Bachmann, we support similar pastimes as they give chance to our employees to excel in out-of-work activities, sports and charity. It is a great feeling to see such a huge amount of enthusiastic personalities among the 650 members of staff. Only thanks to them, we are the right team and we can do better things.
