International teambuilding of Parking Solutions

The two-day teambuilding contained an action-packed programme. All participants enjoyed enough movement in the fresh air, but most of all, they had lots of fun and new experiences and ate delicious food. Even the cold and windy weather did not discourage the close-knit team of PS.

Wednesday morning started as a normal business trip. Colleagues from PS met in their offices on the Boulevard in Žilina and continued working on joint projects. After lunch, they moved to the Scheidt & Bachmann production hall in Bytča. They saw how parking devices are created. It is their job to "breathe" life into these devices through the software they develop.

From the modern production hall, their journey led them into the countryside. They started a hiking trip to Lietava castle from the village of Lietavská Svinná. Their arrival was known to everyone far and wide, as the castle crew greeted them with celebratory salutes from medieval cannons as they stepped off the bus. The ascent to the castle went smoothly until medieval bandits crossed their path. By the time they discovered that they were just Slovak colleagues in disguise, many of them had already spat out their souls or lost their ducats or sweets.

At the castle, a royal treat awaited everyone, which was under the care of the catering manager – Juraj Trnovský (Software Developer PS). The educational part was taken care of by the castle manager – Jaroslav Mitterpach (UI Support Team PS), who introduced the attendees to the secrets of the castle and its exposition. The castle artillerymen demonstrated their cannons and medieval weapons, which amazed everyone. During the relax in a medieval cellar our colleagues could also take part in a castle quiz. The winners received castle souvenirs. In the evening, all the participants safely rolled down the castle hill to get ready for another, this time purely hiking day.

On Thursday, a hike in the picturesque Mala Fatra Mountains awaited them. Cloudy sky, windy weather and occasional showers gave a hint that it was going to be a challenging day. However, even this fact did not discourage the determined PS team. However, they had to modify their original plan – instead of hiking to the top of Veľký Kriváň (the highest mountain of the Mala Fatra), they headed to Jánošík's Gorges. They wanted to look for traces of other Slovak legendary bandits. Fortunately, they all managed the rocky and muddy paths, metal bridges and ladders leading through the narrow canyon of the Lower and Upper Holes without any harm. Tired but satisfied colleagues after the trip did not hide their enthusiasm for the beauty of Slovak nature.

During the teambuilding, the Parking Solutions team proved that its team spirit does not sleep and can be counted on even on rainy days.
