How we seated teachers in school desks

We prepared a big surprise for teachers. They should make a printed circuit board. How did they manage it?

At Scheidt & Bachmann Slovakia we all know, that an investment in knowledge always pays the best interest. That is the reason why we have been cooperating with Secondary Technical School of Mechanical Engineering in Kysucké Nové Mesto for almost 10 years. This autumn we have prepared a big surprise for teachers.

How does a teacher manage to make a printed circuit board?

As an old saying says: “An ounce of practice is generally worth more than a ton of theory.” Does the same apply to teachers? With their help, we decided to verify this claim in October. For selected high school teachers of mechatronics and electrical engineering, we prepared a practical workshop. There, they could try how they would succeed in production.

Teachers’ task was to make a printed circuit board (PCB) in Žilina production hall. They could try out our innovative way of production which has been implemented recently. They also got the possibility to compare it with the traditional way of production they had known before.

The teachers in fact accepted the challenge enthusiastically and they were not afraid of modern technologies at all. After an interactive introductory training, they not only completed their printed circuit boards, but also performed a visual inspection and finished the PCB, they even tried to operate and maintain the soldering line. We could hire them straightaway.

How is it being in pupil`s shoes

“For one day, I became a student again and I must say it was a very pleasant feeling. I am glad I could explore a new field of knowledge, enjoy the friendly atmosphere and touch the modern technological breakthroughs,” said one of the teachers at the end of the day.

All the workshop participants were content and we believe they will share the acquired practical experience with their students.

We have been moving Slovak education forward for 10 years already

Our cooperation with Secondary Technical School of Mechanical Engineering in Kysucké Nové Mesto has been successful for almost a decade. Throughout the time, we have prepared several training sessions, presentations and similar practical workshops for both students and teachers. We also give material assistance to the school.

The fact that the representatives of our company annually participate in school-leaving examinations, take part in graduation exam committee and are honoured guests at the graduation ceremony has become an enjoyable tradition.

At Scheidt & Bachmann we give youth a chance

As a strong and stable company with over 140 years of tradition, we attempt to develop talents and skills of young people in this way. We would like to offer them the opportunity to learn new things, try out modern technologies and give them chance for the right start.
