10 years of seeking and awarding exceptional students
It was not so long ago when we, as well as you, were impatiently waiting for the end of the school and the beginning of a dream job. We did not know what will our life look like after school, but what we wanted to be sure that our decent and hard work will once pay off. Graduates of University of Žilina are ambitious talented young people and therefore we have been rewarding them for past 10 years.
Every year, we award students of the University of Žilina for the best master’s thesis in the fields of computer science, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. Successful students are awarded with the Scheidt & Bachmann AWARD and a financial amount. When selecting winners, we also take into consideration grades and practical results. This year has already been the 10th year of the competition and we have to say that contestants exceeded even our best expectations!
Students set a high bar this year
Three talented young men who won the award for the best master’s thesis were: Ing. Jozef Valigský at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering for his master’s thesis Verification testing of application algorithms RBC ETCS, Ing. Andrej Lúčan at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for his master’s thesis Design of a device for rotation of sheet metal coils around the horizontal axis and Ing. Michal Váňa at the Faculty of Management Science and Informatics for master’s thesis Data-based design of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. Congratulations to the winners. We hope they inspire others of you.
Do you want to be successful after school?
Just keep in mind that your classmates will become your competitors after school. It is therefore important to gain as much experience during school as possible in order to ensure you will be distinguished from most people. Take a look at the opportunity offered by our company. Do not wait until the end of studies, because it may be late
If you study computer science and you do not want to wait until the end of studies, but rather you would like to gain some experience now, our company is looking just for you! We all were students once, so we know that working at the same time as studying can be difficult. But do not worry, in our company, we offer students also part-time work or the possibility to get professional practice.
If you are working hard your master’s thesis can be nominated for the competition and win the Scheidt & Bachmann AWARD next year. And who knows, perhaps we will meet each other in our company, where we endeavor together to ensure that every employee reaches his or her potential.
